I heard the term "wounded healer" and it sent me d I heard the term "wounded healer" and it sent me down a spiral. There's a theory that a huge percentage of people who go into caregiving have their own history of adverse childhood experiences. When I learned that, it made me feel less alone, because I went through trauma as a kid and still chose this career. It also made me think there have to be so many other nannies out there carrying the same thing quietly. If this work has ever brought something up for you, if that little girl inside you is saying "I need help," or you're feeling seen for the first time and don't know what to do with it, I don't think that's something we should keep pushing past. Your worth isn't based on how good of a job you're doing. It's in being able to stop and say "I need help too." Gather colorful popsicle sticks, glue, a paper plate, white cotton kitchen twine, and birdseed. 2. Glue popsicle sticks together in a flat square to form the base of the feeder (use the paper plate underneath to keep glue off your table). 3. Build up the walls log-cabin style, stacking and gluing sticks around all four edges. Alternate colors (red, purple, orange, green, blue) for a fun rainbow look. 4. Glue one stick across the middle of the base to create a center perch for birds to land on. 5. Let the glue dry completely before moving to the next step. 6. Tie a piece of white cotton kitchen twine to each of the four top corners, then gather and knot the ends together to create a hanger. 7. Scoop birdseed into the feeder using a measuring cup. 8. Hang your finished feeder outside and watch the birds come! #nannylife #sensoryplay #kidsactivities
