Cover the table (paper plates work great as palettes) 2. Set out paint, brushes, and a water cup for rinsing 3. Give each kid a plain white pumpkin 4. Let them paint however they want, no rules, no "correct" way 5. Let it dry and display proudly No carving, no mess with pumpkin guts, no sharp tools.
