Not scroll-on-my-phone rest. Real rest. We take care of everyone else's kids all day. That doesn't mean we run on empty. It's not something you earn after the kids are asleep, the kitchen's clean, and the schedule's prepped for tomorrow. Rest is a requirement. Full stop. Nannies give so much of themselves to the families they work with, but that doesn't mean you run on empty until someone tells you it's okay to stop. You're allowed to rest because you're a person, not because you hit some invisible quota first.
