Not scroll-on-my-phone rest. Real rest. We take care of everyone else's kids all day. That doesn't mean we run on empty. Nannies deserve rest too, we're not just allowed to rest, we need it to keep showing up as our best selves. Take the bath. Drink the tea. Shut the world out for twenty minutes. You've earned it. Rest is not a "reward" for finishing your to-do li Rest is not a "reward" for finishing your to-do list. It's not something you earn after the kids are asleep, the kitchen's clean, and the schedule's prepped for tomorrow. Rest is a requirement. Full stop. Nannies give so much of themselves to the families they work with, but that doesn't mean you run on empty until someone tells you it's okay to stop. You're allowed to rest because you're a person, not because you hit some invisible quota first.
